Junior Oilers Teams Invited to Prestigious 2024 Tournaments
Exciting news for the Junior Oilers program as all three U18 AAA teams—White, Blue, and Orange—have been invited to participate in some of the most competitive hockey tournaments of the season.
Junior Oilers White has earned an invitation to the 2024 Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament, set to take place December 12–15, 2024, in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. This premier tournament showcases elite U18 female hockey players from across North America, honoring the legacy of Mandi Schwartz, a former Yale hockey player and leader whose life was cut short by leukemia. Junior Oilers White will look to improve on their strong performance last year, where they took home a hard-fought silver medal.
Meanwhile, Junior Oilers Blue and Orange are gearing up for the iconic 2024 Circle K Classic, formerly known as the Mac’s Tournament, taking place December 26, 2024–January 1, 2025, in Calgary, Alberta. Known for featuring top U18 AAA teams from around the world, this tournament is a proving ground for emerging hockey talent.
Junior Oilers Blue is no stranger to this competition, making their third consecutive appearance. Last year, they captured the Division D Championship title and will aim for another strong showing. For Junior Oilers Orange, this marks their second year attending, and they’ll look to build on their experience from last season.
These invitations reflect the program’s growing reputation and the dedication of the athletes and coaching staff. Best of luck to all three teams as they prepare to compete on these big stages!
